Shipping & Handling

Extra Large Enclosures: Enclosures >250 cubic feet (height x length x depth) can require additional time for fabrication and may add some additional lead time in some cases. This will be evaluated case by case depending on our current inventory of parts and workload, typically this will had 10-15 days to our standard 20-25 business day lead time.
Rectangular Shaped Enclosures: Because our rectangular enclosures are available in so many different sizes, it can add to the lead time. Our round/polygon shapes typically have shorter lead times because they have more common parts that we inventory in advanced. Since there are so many possible sizes of rectangular enclosures, many are built completely from scratch, one at a time, which is what contributes to some additional lead time due to additional time for fabrication, powder coating, and other factors. We estimate 10-15 business days in addition to the 20-25 standard business day lead time for most rectangular shapes.


Some exceptions may apply to rates on our shipping and handling table. Rates are good for continental U.S. only. If outside this area, please call for a quote. WI residents, add 5% Sales Tax.

Note: Lead times shown are estimates only and are accurate in most cases. If order is placed after noon central time, lead time will start the following day. An order is considered placed once payment in full clears. Lead times for orders containing only accessories are much quicker than indicated for cage setups. Shipping and handling is not refunded under any circumstance. No refund will be given if delivery is attempted and nobody receives the package.


Free Shipping Policy (when advertised/applicable)

Applies to any free shipping product, including Ultimate Packages and any other free shipping promotion.

Free shipping is only included within the lower 48 United States . Additional charges may apply for Hawaii , Alaska , and international orders. Please call for a quote.

If the shipping and handling exceeds 15% of the cost of the unit ordered for any shipment there may be additional charges that apply. The customer will be notified with a new total for their order prior to shipment for approval.

Lift gate and unloading service, extra handling, and remote delivery charges are not included in free delivery. If items are shipped via freight, customer must have items delivered to a location with a loading dock, or be at the delivery location at the time of shipment and unload the truck by hand. An extra charge applies if lift gate service is required plus any additional unloading or remote delivery charges. If lift gate or unloading, or remote delivery service is not paid for at the time of purchase and the shipping company retroactively charges Custom Cages for these charges, customer authorizes Custom Cages to charge the customers credit card or invoice them for these additional charges. Lift gate and unloading service includes curbside delivery and does not include moving the products inside the customer’s house or location in any circumstance.

Safety catches include free shipping only when purchased with a cage. If safety catches are ordered separately, packaging and freight will apply and be quoted on a per item basis. The Custom Cages regular shipping and handling rates do not apply because they are oversized freight items.

Vision Products' regular shipping and handling rates will apply for accessory items ordered with enclosures (with exception of safety catches).

If items are returned, shipping and handling costs incurred to ship the products to the customer will be deducted from the total dollar amount of the refund. Shipping and handling for returning the product is the responsibility of the customer. See our full return policy for details.
